I don't think I've ever told you the story of my brand's symbol! It's quite interesting how we attract things without even knowing it. That's what happened to me when choosing this logo. Read on if you're curious about my story 😊
When I had to choose a logo, I knew I wanted a flower next to the name, preferably simple and beautiful.
As I looked at the flowers, I couldn't decide... then in spring, I saw a bouquet of yellow mimosas on @patentbudapest's table and immediately knew that this was the flower I had been looking for!

At that time, I didn't know what it meant, what it symbolized, and I only recently found out. And that's where attraction comes into play 😊
As I learned, in Italy, the mimosa is the symbol of Women's Day. This flower was chosen because it blooms in early March, and since it's readily available there and grows everywhere, they opted for it.
"On March 8th, the whole country turns yellow, squares are filled with mimosa stands, bars serve mimosa cocktails, and pastry shops display rows of mimosa cakes," writes @olaszmamma in one of her blog posts.

She also reports that Italian women don't celebrate this holiday with men, but rather with each other:
"In Italy, we celebrate Women's Day differently than at home. Male colleagues don't chip in money and buy potted flowers in industrial quantities, but women gladly have girls' nights out, go with their girlfriends for aperitifs, dinner, or anywhere, the point is that guys don't mess up the program."
I must admit, I find this very appealing! Next year, I will definitely organize it this way with my girlfriends 😊 By then, this pesky Covid will surely be gone…
So, on one hand, mimosa is the symbol of Women's Day, and on the other hand, its yellow color reminds me of endometriosis, which is symbolized by a yellow ribbon.
A year ago, I wouldn't have thought that I would be making reusable pads for you and sharing content about endometriosis with you. But I believe that everything happens for a reason, I am in the right place at the right time, and therefore, I chose a good symbol for my brand 😊
